anyone here use black widow exhuast?

I'm building a stainless 3'' exhuast for my c1500 and trying to pick mufflers.

I'm looking at the angry housewife and the widowmaker mufflers mainly. looking at the race venom too.

I think fitment wise the round widowmaker might fit better. I want it to have an aggressive idle and when I'm on the throttle hard. But cruising not be crazy annoying loud.

Anyone try any of their products?

I have the Venom 250's on my K5. I really like them. They are as advertised- sound good at idle, really good when you're on it, but not awful cruising at a reasonable RPM. This is on a truck with no interior (yet), mud tires, and not a lot of creature comforts, so if the truck is finished I am sure it would be better. I can get a video later if you want. I do like them a lot and wouldn't hesitate to put them on another truck.

My buddy has the Angry Housewife on an LS truck and it's actually pretty quiet. Sounds good, but we were expecting it to be a bit rowdier than it is.

mine is an ls swap with a cam, tbss intake, a little head work, and terminator x. The videos are open headers.

Thanks. I might end up doing a build thread on it. I need to dig up some pictures. I’ve been working on this since 2012. Had it all the way down to the frame… i need to finish tuning it and raise the rev limiter. I think I have it set to 6200. Going to go up to about 6600 and see how that feels

My buddy runs the angry housewife venoms in 3” with his 502 first gen K5. Loud as hell and they’re coming off pretty soon.

I ended up buying 2 widowmakers. Have 1 7/8 headers, x pipe, and dual 3” all the way back.
