I got this 1/2ton '90 Sub last month for $500 w/350 700R4/NP241 ,the PO said the rearend was bad. Sure enough the pinion on the 10b had a broken tooth. The driver side rear axle bearing had run down and ate the bearing surface on the shaft.
What I don't know is the manufacturer of this diff. These pics are with the center pin out, the large rectangular hole is where the pin slides out and one end of the pin is the same shape as this opening. The axles are 30sp and the RPO codes show no factory locker(G80).

10 bolt, it's a GM corporate axle. Get a chain and hook it to your boat, it's a boat anchor. Even before it broke.

I know the front and rear are 10 bolts, I need the actual differential case make. Does it look familiar to anyone. thnx for the quick replys

would like to put it in the front, but it would be difficult to source 30spl shafts when one breaks. The truck has 200,000mi on it but I got it to start while on the jackstands so I haven't driven it yet. I found reciepts in the console where the tranny and transfer case had been rebuilt 40,000 mi ago. Not bad for $500 bucks? located a 14bsf from a '94 3/4t for the rear.
