anyone installed a car alarm before?

I don't know the brand, but there's one that has some kind of motion detector. If your car's suspension moves, like when someone steps on your bumper to climb, the alarm sets off. Of course a little birdie won't move your suspension. Ask around and I'm sure you'll find it.

Ya I was thinking about the same design that my house alarm has were if any inside moton is detected the alarm goes off, but if you are at the window waving your arms at the sensor it won't go off!!?????
I love setting off cars that have the body motion sensor type alarm! I don't doit on purpuse it's my two chamber flowmasters and 21/2" pipe!!Hehee I love it vvrrummm, vvrruummm....wheooo,wheeooo,wheooo

I used to have an Alpine with a motion sensor. I think they called it a dual sector digital radar sensor...same thing. I used it on an open top Jeep and it worked pretty well. Several companies make similar ones. The main problem I had was wind blowing stuff inside and that setting off the alarm. I was able to adjust it so people just walking by wouldn't set it off.

Chevy good...Ford bad

My Code Alarm has a sensor like that. I think it's a microwave sensor or something like that. You set that sensitivity and anything moving in that area will set it off.

BONDO WILL FIX ANYTHING!!!

I still like the old Mercury in the bottle with two wires.Move the truck it sets it off...great for motorcycles.....
And for those good with a soldering iron and schematic I have the immobilizer....20 seconds disables the ignition. Easy to hide, easy to set and turn off. Who needs an alarm when they cannot even start the vehicle and you don't need any of these pimple face professional installers to put it in for you, heck for a few bucks I will build my design for you and include detailed instructions so the family dog can help. Professional installers.... Bah humbug.....

The circuit I call the immobilizer. Remember when ordering parts make sure the transistors are a Darlington pair, that means they will be matched together . The wires going to the ignition can go to power to coil, mag pickup, almost any place you might disrupt the power to the ignition. I have even placed it on the steering column, so that not only will it not start, it won even turn over. The circuit is small enough to be hidden anywhere, and no wires to show and switch can also be hidden anywhere, up to your imagination. I had a guy who had me install it connected to the horn circuit, to start you had to hit a quick beep. it turned on a relay that stayed on as long as there was power, turn the key off the circuit died. car would not start till the horn was hit....not the best idea...but how many crooks are gonna figure out that. Questions just ask....Adverse comments keep to yourself....

I have an UNGO MS 9000 I bought 4 years ago. I have never had problems with it. It has this great logic sensor that detects a vehicle being jacked up and it detects vibration. It also has a warning chirp for someone who might bump up against it by accident. Great range and has 9 aux channels to. I also aded a radar sensor to keep people from reaching in when the top is off.

That is a motion sensor the also make others that are anyone that is in the space. It all depends on how sensitive you set it. I've had them both and I like them both....

I ahve to agree with the ungo alarm. The logic sensor is an awsome sensore, and if its set correctly it tends not to false

89K5 payed 3k for the rig, spent almost 7k in the last 6 months on upgrades!!!!
