I have a crossmember design that will bolt in in place of the stock unit to eliminate interference with the drag link when going to crossover steering. I am looking to see if there is enough interest to manufacture them. It will be a tubular steel crossmember that will bolt to existing holes and the cost will be in the neighborhood of $150.00. I need enough interest to warrant the time and money required to manufacture these. Let me know if interested.

Thanks!

I am interested. Could I still use my polyengine mounts (OFFROADDESIGN) with this crossmember? Keep me informed please. thanks

It will not affect the motor mounts. There are tabs that bolt to the bottom of the motor mount brackets welded to the new crossmember.

Steve, I am interested however I will have a little different clearance problem for the oil pan since I am using a Cad 500. If you have a drawing or pictures I would like to have them emailed to me. Thanks,

I would be interested in one if the price is kept down like you said.

There is a picture of the crossmember in my three link write up in the technical articles. I am not sure that the crossmember would interfere with a big block unless the front of the pan is a lot deeper.

Steve, this is a good point about the big block, I may go the BB route down the line so a crossmember that sits about the same as stock would be good because the BB do have a deaper oil pan.

I would be interested in a crossmember to clear a doubler setup.

Big Deal makes these crossmembers and could make them also to order for BB and the doublers. He said around $75-100 for CK5ers!!!

I'm very interested. also i planing on converting from my 350 to a 6.2 or maybe 6.5 would it still work than ?

In looking at a truck with a big block, I do not forsee any clearance problems. The 6.2 diesel is about the same as a small block and does not need any additional clearance.

I have fabricated my own a few months back. You can see plenty of pics on it as well as clearance pics. My buddies K10 has a BB with the crossover conversion so I will measure the difference and post it for you guys. click on my link below, go to "Project Pics" and find the engine crossmember project. Hope this helps...
