Sorry for my lame terms i don't know much of shit about what to call all of this, whoops.
I just replaced my heater core and broke a clip on the inside of the door its what changes my heat/air from
feet to chest position. I've tried looking round a little bit but its hard when i don't know what to call it.

So to sum it up if anyone knows where to find the clip or what to call it so i can do a little bit better digging on it that would bet great, its currently got gorilla glue drying on it but i doubt that will hold for long.

Thanks in advance!

The plastic clip part correct, it is a GM part number 3018715.

I also found this on Ebay a bit pricey but I'm sure it wont break anytime soon

Classic truck parts i have no account. Pulled off there web site with the listed plastic parts, that ells for less than 5 dollars. I can click on the link i posted and go there, from this page.

I’d make one out of a metal bar before I paid that price. :yikes:

Must be on my end. Oh well. :dunno:

I thought that someone on the site did reproduce this part in metal. It was a long time ago and it never went anywhere.

Rampage if you ever make one let me know
I've been considering making one as well

Not gonna happen until mine breaks.
Should be easy enough to redneck something that’d work out of square or rectangular tube. But if my OCD kicked in it’d be solid stock made using a hacksaw and file.

I wrapped a strap of stainless steel around mine while epoxying it back together. That must have been 10+ years ago now, still working.

Any pics
I'm trying to imagine it in my head.
Pr would 2 part epoxy be sufficient
It's probably stronger than the original plastic but I prefer making it better by reinforcing with steel strap

Since the part is available for $5, it makes sense to just buy it and install. It's faster to repair yourself, though. The repair I mentioned requires drilling 2 holes in the strap to line up with the hole through the plastic part, top and bottom. The length of the steel will be at least the total circumference of the plastic part. You need to use thin material so it can still clip in as intended.
