I made some from a kit that I bought but they really suck and I want some that actually follow the curvatures of the axle. Anyone know of a local place I can get them (autozone, dealership, etc.). Thx

I was trying to convince him and save some $$$ also.

LMC is a good option. or he can call the dreaded dealer and pay $$$$$$$$$$$$$$

good luck. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

I bought 2 - 30" pieces of 3/16 from autozone and a small tubing bender for about $10 and bent mine myself.

I tried the exact same thing last week for my new (78 3/4 ton) 14ff. Didn't work cause the 3/16 fittings were too big on both ends. What could they be, metric? /forums/images/graemlins/dunno.gif

They're 3/16" flare fittings...everything should have fit fine.

The only reason they might not have worked is if the wheel cylinders were swapped out with the incorrect ones that have the wrong size/threading.

at which point they will sell him a roll of 3/16" brake line, that he'll still have to bend himself.

I'm talking about ones that look like or are factory with the wire wrapped around them too. Anyone? I dont want to wait for LMC thats the only issue there... but if there's no local place to get it I guess I'll have to... /forums/images/graemlins/dunno.gif

Yeah I just went to Kragen today and bought 2 36" 3/16" hard lines and bent them myself using my $10 bender and flared the ends with my $6 flare tool and 20 minutes later I was done...

Sheesh! Pre-bent lines? What's next? Custom seat cushions they make from a mold of your cheeks? /forums/images/graemlins/histerical.gif

I bought the universal lines you get in standard lengths and bend yourself. I had the choice of wire wrap or not. I needed a length they didn't have, so I went with the longer one and put a loop-de-loop in the line to take up the excess /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

If I gave a damn, I'd get a flaring tool and do it properly.
