If a gas tank skid plate from an '89 Sub would work on a '76 Blazer. I know it's unlikely that anyone has an answer but hey what else are we doing right now?

The gas tanks are essentially the same (aside from the filler neck size), so it's a good chance it might. I'm sure it's close and could be made to fit.
