I'd like to know if anyone has mounted a 3rd row seat from a Yukon XL or Suburban from 2000-2006.

This is not a split 3rd row, but an actual bench from the suburbans. I have seen a few mounting brackets for the Tahoe style split benches, but nothing for a full bench and the mounting design is definitely different.

I was going to tie it to the cage, but that will mount it a little higher than I want it. So, I may be forced to cut the floor and design a set of mounting brackets, but would like to see if anyone has done other stuff.

Thanks.

Oh, seat in question:

I mounted one in the back of my 02 Tahoe, You can buy the mounts on ebay, you have to space them so they are high enough so the latch hooks up properly. or cut holes. I was able to use some of the stock threaded holes in the tahoe, you would have to support the floor where the mounts would go, especially with the intergrated seatbelts. Also you need to lengthen the kickstand if you want to be able to fold the seat forward. I did not at first and my wife drove it withe the seat up the weight if the seat and leverage when it flopped up and down broke one mount, I cut and welded a piece in after that. This is only if you have to used raised mounts, the mounts are nothing special and where pricy but i could not find anything as beefy in the stores.

Good Luck

The problem is that the Tahoe mounts are different than the Suburban mounts. The Suburban style actually sinks into the floor instead of being mounted on top.

This is a Yukon XL rear seat flipped forward. You can see the difference in the mounts.
