There is a complete '85 6.2 2wd 3/4 ton at a yard nearby, pulled the hydroboost off today. Anyone need anything?

I saw a late 80's or early 90's G series van with a 6.2 in a local junkyard yesterday--completely intact...sitting next to the treeline,behind 2 more vans.....

It's being kept intact by about 50,000 wasps living in the wiper cowl!.:eek1:.the doors were locked,I could see the doghouse was off,and it indeed was a 6.2 --but nothing was removed that I could see..and probably wont be anytime soon!..I bet only a few diesel vans were sold around here--first one I've ever seen...

There was also a turbo'd 90's square body diesel Suburban there, the engine was all cannibalized, but I was surprised to see the turbo and most if not all the plumbing was still there...yard guy said he thinks the turbo was junk though, and was why it was scrapped..

Was it a 6.5 turbo setup, a Banks kit, or something else? I have yet to find any sort of 6.2 turbo setup in my junkyard treks.

Needing is a strong word lol. Wanting is more like it. I don't think I do but I will double check

Apologies for misrepresenting ya. I didn't mean it that way at all. :doah:

Blazinzuk was talking about having use for a J-code (3/4-ton) manifold in his thread. :dunno:

fixed it for myself. :dunno:

It was scattered all over,it is hard to say for sure but I'd guess it was a 6.5 turbo swapped onto a 6.2 ,or maybe a whole 6.5 was transplanted into it..
I doubt it was a Banks, there was no "cover" on the engine, the top end was all apart..
The Burb was dangling off a huge boulder at the tree line,it appeared they must have shoved it up there with the loader so someone could get under it to remove parts easier--I climbed up to get a better look and there was a bunch of wasps buzzing around.so I couldn't gawk too long at it..
