Anyone out there have a really loose steering column?? Here is how to fix it!!!!

you mean the lock plate RIGHT behind the wheel?

Thanks for the link, I will look into this. Mine is really loose and goes up and down quite a ways since about ten years ago while driving. I can't remember if I was really angry about something or if somebody made me squeal my brakes, but I'm pretty sure I grabbed the top of the wheel and starting yanking up and down like an idiot and broke it pretty fast.

Really wish I hadn't done that.. It's a really big steering wheel and doesn't take alot of effort to torque it too much.

sure hope you didn't snap any of the loose screws, that would be a real bitch to have to drill out!
