with the 2" body lift the linkage is a little goofy even after I adjusted it. so I'd like to just put a cable in it's place and be done with it. that way I can shift without any problems even when it's all twisted up.

so who's done it and how?

to clarify, I want to keep the stock shifter but use a cable instead of the hard linkage

where could I source cable like that? that would be easy enough I would think to build

Jeg's and Summit racing sells lokar stuff.Just get the Lokar part number,I'm sure either one would have it.

I like that idea....

I was resisting the idea of going to a floor mounted shifter, but the linkage definitely DOES get bound-up when you wheel and get twisted up. It would be nice to replace all that rigid linkage, with a section that could "give" a little.

looks like it's only $100 from summit. haven't done it yet, gotta let things settle down a little bit.
