I spent months researching how to do this, and came to the conclusion that the best and cheapest option is Advance Adapter's kit.

russell, what aa kit are you talking about?
the bellhousings bolt up ok,do they have some kind of clutch kit?or flywheel?
ive looked on their site and cant see anything.

chevy305-thanks man,appreciate the compliments.

Yeah, its a tough one to find but they have a complete kit with a custom flywheel, pilot bushing, throwout bearing, Centerforce disk and pressure plate. Approx 700 bucks when I looked it up last, and uses a common clutch disk & pressure plate, so it will be easy to replace in the future. The stock SM465 bellhousing & clutch fork are then bolted straight up to the engine as the custom flywheel and pilot bushing bring everything out the extra .500" you need.

I'll have to find it for you tonight after I get home from school, gotta go in 2 minutes here.
