Im planning on buying a set of conversion hubs, but dont know who to trust and buy from (maybe one of our vendors are selling them?). I also want to run discs and rallies, so would a set of front discs from a 73-87 6 lugger work? Guess it might depend on whos kit i buy.

Also, would this be something my local machnist can do? if so i may just take my old hubs in there and have him redo it for me if people think thats a good idea, if not then i wont pursue that.

Are you really that attached to your 6 lug rims? Seems to not be worth teh costs and hassle. Its pretty easy/cheap to swap to 8 lug outers on your front 10 bolt, and then just disk and install a 14b FF.

That seems a more reasonable way to go.

454ss was the semi floater 9.5 (i think) rear with 5x5 pattern, some of the z71s and subs and light duty 3/4s had 6 lug semi floater 14s as well. I want a full floater 14 but the uniqueness of a 6 lug. When i get my rear ill take it to my machinist and see if he can do it, hopefully he can.

gonna try to have machinist do it. I have yet to see what anyone uses for lugs. id like to stay with the 7/16-20 to match the front.

Doesn't the 6 on 5.5 pattern require the end of the axleshaft to be turned down a little and then retained with smaller-head hardware?
