Has anyone run 2nd gen tow hooks on the front of a 1st gen. Did they just bolt up or what?

From what I hear you are better off getting an aftermarket type tow hook! The GM ones are known to break and are just weak in general......

The '73-'80 factory tow hooks are stout. It is the '81-up that have strength problems.
I, too, would be interested in hearing from someone who has tried these.

THey don't fit. I have one of the hooks and it won't mate with the holes in the Gen1 frame.

I got some off of an S10 blazer. they are a bit smaller but bolt right up. I trimed my bumper so it may not be a good idea, they are a bit short.
