I am. I know nothing about carbs, and I've had quite a bit of trouble getting this thing to run right. I blame that on my own ignorance though, not the carb. I've still got a couple bugs to work out with the street driving, but things couldn't be better off road. I put it through some good tests, got it off camber so much that some friends had to hold my truck up. The carb just acted like it was on level ground the whole time. /forums/images/graemlins/waytogo.gif

Holley tends to win the battle when it comes to who's better, Elderbrock or Holley...It just that holleys are a little more tricky to tune than eldebrock...ur definetly gonna what a rpm gauge and vac gauge handy....

Its a damn good carb, Ive got a 770 on my big block, you just have to take the time to tune it correctly, or take it to a shop and get it done.

And also, unless you have an aftermarket intake the throttle blades will hit the bores on a stocker.needs a squarebore to spreadbore adapter. But if you got an edelbrockperformer or similar it wount be a problem.

It was a while ago, but i think the fast idle was waaaay to high, had to adjust the a/f ratio, had a problem with the choke.
I agree though, if you take the time and adjust it, it will work great, except for the loss of MPG.

It can't be worse then my 350,000 mile stock 350 getting 7mpg....sometimes i feel like i'm feeding a BB /forums/images/graemlins/histerical.gif /forums/images/graemlins/histerical.gif
