Dynomax Super Turbo mufflers are inly $40...I'm thinking about picking some up.

I've noticed that Summit has their own fully welded aluminum high flow mufflers for only $15.

Anyone heard either of them?
Any other muffler suggestions?

I run the Super Turbos. I'm happy with them. They are pretty mild while cruising around, but they roar nicely when you're heavy on the skinny pedal. Imagine a less annoying Flowmaster 40.

They've been on my K5 for almost 6 years, and they are still in great shape, even after 5 winters.

Yeah, yeah. Get off my back.....:rotfl:

Believe it or not, I actually know enough about these here K-series rigs to answer peoples' questions from time to time. Plus the Lounge has been quiet lately, which allows me some time to sit back and learn a little bit.

Anyhoo, back on topic......

You've certainly been around long enough to at least of picked up a few things:D

As far as the mufflers go, Mudfrog (i think thats his username) sells cheap mufflers. They are made in the flowmaster plant without the flowmaster stamp and they are like 40 bucks a pop. Check the vendors forum.:D

i ran dynomax on my camaro RS, and i was very pleased. just make sure you use stainless mounting clamps or weld the seams, the shop that put the system on for me, midas i believe, used non-stainless steel exhaust clamps and the pipes rusted through under them as neatly as if they had been cut with a blowtorch. muffler wound up falling off midway through a turn.

Iv'e had the Turbo's, little too quiet for me, but would resonate bad inside the cab, that's also no tips, just small dumps if that. I ran a set of Ultra flos on my 'Bu, and sounded SAWEET!! But it doen'st take much to get a 468 to sound good....

I put one of those cheapo dynomax mufflers on my 4.3vortec s10 babyblazer, its just a little louder than the stock one that had a little hole rusted outta tha bottom, its a good affordable muffler.

my buddy just put on a hooker areo chamber and it sounds awsome:saweet: , first chance i get im ditching my flowbastard for the areo chamber.

I run them on my woods truck. I got 2 of them for $35 from the local speed shop that was closing.

I had flowmasters before. lost one mudding, never found it. the flowmasters sound better. I run a 70 series on my DD.

My blazer has duals using whatever the muffler shop's generic mufflers are. they sound a lot better then I thought.

You should try a pair of Flowmaster single chamber race muffs. They are the meanest soundng muffler I have heard. Nice and deep too.

I typicaly go go for the "chokemasters" as they dont flow near as well as a straight through design, but the single chambers are money.

Magnaflows are stock on the vipers and dakota R/Ts. They are stainless and sound like a borla, but dont cost near as much. Flowmasters are fine unless you build alot of power.Dan
