wondering how you like em? Any significant difference from stock? Thanks for any input.

Yep. Would put them in my 05 grew cab if the wife would let me. I have slept in mine a number of times.

I run em in my 76 k5,Its a corbeau i forget which model exactly but its really not all that different except for when it matters. I can only feel it during heavy impacts where it really save my back. I was running stock seats before until i busted a spring in the seat.

Story was i was running down a trail goin way too fast about 30 mph and i hit about a foot deep rut i didnt see and it basically popped up the entire front end and my seatbelt didnt lock up until i was airborne with my head about to hit the ceiling at which point it locked up and slammed me back down into my seat immediatley :doah: .

I used to have huge bruises on my lower back in the middle after wheeling the k5 with stock seats to which i have not gotten at all with these new off-road racing suspension seats. I dont DD my k5 anymore but i still drive it to work sometimes to keep it running right and i really prefer the suspension seats especially with my dual front shock set up. Only issue some might have with em is that all the ones im interested in are designed for off-road racing uses they have steel triangle plates on each side to really hug you in and it can make it kind of hard to get in and out for some although i've had no issues with it.

I have PRP Competition seats, wide. I have to slide the seat back to get out. Makes it easier. Having the roll cage as a grab handle helps. I drive mine at least 4 days a week. Can be in them for 16 hours of drive to wheeling, wheeling, then drive home.

Thanks

i love my truck -but its almost a workout just to drive [here in mass]almost no straight roads or smooth[except highway]always using my forearms and steering wheel for leverage and to balance myself on the turns-so maybe a set of sus-seats to enjoy my beast -so they have types that snug you in as well as absorb-sound like my answer:D

Several years ago I sat in a guy's rig with suspension seats. Think they were Corbeaus. If it wasn't for the cost of them I'd have a set in both of my vehicles right now.

I think the biggest issue is entry/exit. I have never sat in a set, but my understanding is most have tall sides.

I would see this as the biggest issue.

They seem plenty comfy but my concern would be harness legality. Most suspension seats designs require running harnesses, which you have to make sure are DOT approved! (correct me if I am wrong but, I am assuming it's pretty much impossible to run the stock belts, certainly doesn't look possible on my seats)

just a word of warning on suspension seats.. they tend to run a little narrow...

my PRP's are extra wide and 4" extra tall.. they fit me perfect... 6'1" 240ish... 38 waist...

the 4" tall puts my head centered in the headrest and shoulder belts slightly above the shoulder....

without the extra wide, they'd be tight...

from what i've heard/seen this sounds common, regardless of manufacturer..

Along the lines of Ryoken's post-
I got a set of extra wide, extra tall Corbeau's and had to sell them since they were still to skinny and short for me! (6'3", 275, 42")

The extra wide, extra tall Twisted Stitch seats I got fit me (they do larger dimensions)! But, I still have to sell them (need the $$$). :(

VERY carefully read the dimensions on the manufacturers' websites and (if possible) sit in some before you buy!

I believe they all make what PRP calls a roadster seat. Same back and bottom, no tall sides. They only raise about an inch. I have a set I was going to use in a golf cart. Then sold the golf cart.

Hunsaker's.....
They look fancy, feel nice and it will sure depend if you are willing to spend +$300 for some.

Prp seats in my dd for 3 years

I had the prP suspension seats in my dd for 3 years. They certainly make it a bit more of an effort to get in and out but once you get in they are comfy. A few notes. . . They can wear on the edges pretty quick when you slide over time and time again. . . Kiddos and friends have to do some maneuvering to get in the back (pita to get a sleeping one in/out) . . . But they look grat and do keep you put!
