anyone run tube door?

I want to have tube doors but dont know how to have them hinge or latch. Anyone runing tube doors have pixs of how it latches and hinges? What did you do for side view mirrors/How did you mount them?

i have tube doors, someone here on ck5 made them for me, but thanks to my advancing age I forget who. As far as mounting, its pretty simple... i just got some longer-than-stock door pins from napa, cross drilled em, welded a washer to the top for easy removal and then rehung my doors using the new pins. You need to drill because one of the pins (top one i think) must go into the hinge from below... the hole is so u can put a pin through it so the pin wont fall out of the hinge. Not sure if that made any sense... I'll try to get some pics this weekend...

They are canvas covered and have "snap in" window uppers (not shown)..

Here is a link to the ones we used to make. Maybe you can get some ideas.....
They bolt up to the stock hinges and the latch works on the stock pin.

yeppers, good tube doors. I think i am gonna weld some tabs on mine so I can bolt some simple aluminum panels to them if I want to... then Line-X the things and I'll be set! /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif
