I had to purchase a universal carb spacer from holley so that the mounting plate that comes in the kit would fit around the EGR mount. Now when I try to put the Tbi unit on part of one of the electrical plugs on the unit barely comes into contact with the top edge of the EGR. Does someone make a smaller EGR? should I find a smaller EGR gasket (the existing one seems pretty thick) I dont really want to buy yet another spacer for this thing and I cant really afford to buy the holley projection intake, even though I am sure that is what I should be using eventually.

I don't know what the design is, but what if you got an EGR spacer? IIRC some factory q-jet apps used that, but even if not, I know they are around.
