On a sb TBI?

I've lost all my links to them... Anyone have any info, maybe a thirdgen link or something...

Why do you want to run vacuum reference on a TBI? The injectors are always at atmospheric pressure, unless you have a supercharger or turbo. And even then, manifold reference would be the wrong pressure reference.

You muct be talking about TPI???

How bout it Dorian? I seem to remember you being in on those regulator convo's back in the day, and being pretty fluent with thirdgen.org also...

I'm pretty certain this has been discussed in depth, and iirc, Southernspeed is already running one... Or am I, unbeknownst to me, smoking crack? :haha:

I remember something about prying one apart, putting a quarter on top of the diaphram, putting it back together, and tapping the center top for a set screw.

Or, I could have dreamt that all at one time. :)

I never bothered to do it, I don't see why you'd want to. With properly sized injectors and tuning, I don't see where the benefit comes from.

On thirdgen, you might try searching for "AFPR", that rings a bell as something that has come up a few times.

I seem to recall something about using an AFPR from a marine TBI 454 application. Seems to me that a boat guy would remember that. ;)

I modified my stock TPI regulator to make it adjustable. But aren't we talking about TBI here?

yup...

I already run an adjustable regulator... I just seem to remember being able to run a vacuum one on the tbi's...

Yep, I bought a vrfpr and did a lot of research on it, but with the EBL I got it running so well I didn't bother using it.
If you're using it on a SBC you'll need to change the spring as it's set up for BBCs, marine at that if i remember correctly. There is a bunch of stuff for it at thirdgen under vrfpr but I don't have any links.

Want to buy a never used one?:D
