I'm cheap. Period. I wanna do this conversion on my '74 Jimmy. What specific rotors do I need and can I use the factory caliper backing plate off any K10 with some modifications to it?

I am, and it's been awhile but If I recall they are regular 10bolt front rotors,
and you have to drill the axle flange out for the longer studs (which is a pain), I used A-tron brakets, but again if I remember correctly you can use later style backing plates, the ones that are half sheet metal, and 3/4 inch long stand offs

Also there was a write up long ago about this I think Grimmy did it and it was in the members section, but since I don't have a membership right now I can't tell you if it is still there or not

I'm very interested in this too. In Pensacola we have junkyards FULL of the good ole box style chevys.

Ive got some brand new 10 bolt 6 lug rotors, but I left them in the barn uncovered and what not. So, you could turn them and use them probably. Not sure how to ship them but they are yours for like $20. I need to set up a PayPal account.
