anyone running these type lockers?

"Lunch box" lockers are a great way to get added traction, without having to go the route of replacing the entire center section. Plus are usually cheaper, and much easier to install.

A buddy of mine had a spartan in his dana 30 under his cherokee and loved it. He actually broke the carrier in half before the locker even thought about failing.

so far no problems, but it will grenade eventually. I was going to put this in for some added traction since the carriers in my diffs are 10 years old or better, until i can afford to upgrade.and i only have 33's want to upgrade to 35's though.

Im running a Loc Rite in my 10bolt rear. I only off road once/twice a year and its pretty mild. On a stock 305cid / 700r and 33s. I use the truck as a DD and havent had any issues on the street. Been in there for about 3-4 years now. no issues

Thanks man ive been reading on them and they seem to work pretty well.
Im going to re-build my front diff wheel bearings, seals, breaks u-joints
And anyrhing else i find bad.so it will take a couple of months to get the parts
Let alo.e the tools that are needed.I hope by end of summer i can do it

i have one in my 14 bolt full float never had a problem

The 14 bolt full floater is a special beast, its factory carrier is SUPER beefy.

The 10 bolt/Dana 44/Dana 60 factory carriers aren't, and that's the weak link usually with a drop in style locker.

I've blown apart 2 of 4 lockrights I've installed. One in a healthy street car with 400 horse. The second was in my d60, it survived a couple wheelin trips and failed.

Both stripped the teeth off, broke the window area out for the shear pins. Unsure why they did that, both were warranted though.

Had good luck with the other 2 I had. Unsure if
I got a bad batch or what? chevy305 on here had a similar issue around the same time.

I've got what looks to be a Aussie in my ten bolt on the k10. Got it new/out of box. Can't speak to how it will hold, haven't ran it yet.

Personally I'm not a huge fan, I prefer full case replacement lockers, they aren't that hard to install if you ask me.

Chris,
if you had a 12 bolt I have a Detroit for one, plus 5.13 gears; along with 5.13's for the front 44.

say, I even have a 12 bolt axle :D
