i was at sams club yesturday and thay had a china brand of winch 10,000 capacity. it was setup on 2" quick hitch and also had rollor fairlead with all cables and quick conects on it. all for the low price uf just about 400 with tax. the name was champion winch. looked like most other winches we all use in style and shape.

looks like this one. but on the quick mount setup with fairlead. http://www.cpeauto.com/de10000lb_winch.htm

I have not, but Sam's and Walmart don't make anything themselves (well, except for money), but have lots of stuff made by compamies that re-brand the stuff. Usually you can read the box or instructions and find out who really made it which may give you a better idea.

probably the same as the Harbor Freight ones. Better than nothing, but slow.

I have it, I've only used it once, and it works. I took the solenoid box off it and stuffed it behind my bumper. the one I got there wasn't a quick hitch one though. It came with a mounting plate though.

make sure its 10k single line pull...the harbor freight ones are adertised 9k till you open the box and its says 4500 single line pull and 9k double...

there is a place around me...
30,000lb winch.. I opened the box and it looked like 7/16 cable... yeah ok so that is a 30k winch?
oh also $198

made by xpedition or something like that...

Surf around the Champion site, I'm sure they are Chinese, it can give you a better idea on their products. You can also compare the specs with other winches. Of course might not help much with the quality of parts they are using:rolleyes:

As for the 30,000 pound winch the answer is right on the box. It says "Rolling Weight." I'm sure it will pull that. Rolling weight is a lot different than dead weight. Take a truck on a flat surface. Start it up and get it rolling then put it in neutral. The average man can pull it for a distance. Now put 1,000 pounds on a pallet and good luck:rolleyes::rolleyes:
