I had to go to my welding supply shop today to swap out some bottles and I have been shopping for a new mig for a while now. So I get to talking with the manager about the Miller 180, which is what i was going to buy and he shows me the new Miller 211. It is about the same size as the 180, 2 pounds heavier, plugs right in to 115v or 220v and costs way less then the DVI2. It can weld the same materials as the DVI 2 (more range then the 180) and the compact size is nice. Only bad thing is they are not available yet (at least in this area).

I shopped those heavy a few months back... ended up going with the 180... that extra cost was just too much at the time...

I had been dead set on the 180, I have used 2 different ones and really liked them, but I use a 251 alot at my business shop and REALLY like everything about it (except the price). Then the DVI came out and it got me thinking how nice the flexibility of the dual voltage would be, so that made me think on that, but now i think the 211 is going to be the best of all worlds- for me - so i think that is going to be my next big tool purchase.

Our Airgas guy is running some killer deals right now. I had to show some serious restraint, otherwise i would have had to explain the new thermodyne plasma to the wife.:eek1:

He asked me again if I'm ready to trade in the MM200. I finally had to basically run out the door. My self control can only be pushed so far.
