Anyone shove a Dmax into an early GM yet?

A buddy and I were yacking about my new '81 K30 CC SRW today and said he had a lead on an '01 LB7 Dmax and Allison.

Anyone have links or know of guys repowering 80's C/K30's with a Dmax?

Hmm, The NV4500 would be a bit simpler. My main concern is what transfer case to use with the Allison that is a passenger drop.

In the Diesel Power mag article they mentioned trying to put one in the '82 blazer but there wasn't enough room. Didn't mention the particulars though.

Xtreme4X4 put one in their burban-tow rig-hummer with help from the bankster himself.

yeah that burb was high HIGH dollar though.....custom 1 off sheet metal intake, twin turbo, aftermarket fuel system, tuned by banks himself in shop...

nick04duramax definitely has a nice truck and you can find it over on the www.dieselplace.com page, but I have tried time and time again to introduce myself and ask a few simple questions and he just ignores me?? dont get it but whatever. yeah the nv4500 makes things a whole heck of alot easier. with the allison, you need to keep the alli computer and also the motherboard or whatever that is mounted inside the truck under the dash so the two computers will communicate with each other. with the nv4500, all you need is the 1 duramax computer and to have it reprogrammed. Sorry for the runons, I am in a hurry to get somewhere.
