Anyone stuffed a Furd D60 under a square? More specifically one of the newer 05+ ones.

I'd really like to run an NV4500 with a NP241.

Been looking for a long while and haven't found a passenger drop 241.

Driver drop 241's are everywhere... almost tripped on one that was just laying in the junkyard last time I went.

Obviously a drivers drop t-case needs a drivers drop axle.

The newer folurd D60's seem to be pretty good, people are stuffing them under EVERYTHING and they're very reasonably priced compared to a Chevy or Ford Kingpin axle.

Just curious if anyone has messed with one or has thought about using one in a square.

You can get any pass drop 241 all day long, and if its a 27 spline input, just swap out the input to a 32 spline unit. There are plenty of pass drop 241's out there...I see them on craigslist and facebook adds all the time. If you can't find one, you may just want to look other places. No reason to reinvent the wheel and go furd 60 (which is way more work, especially factoring in t-case shifter changes with a driver drop case).

Or just take your time and find the right tcase that will work for your scenario. Just my opinion is all

The solution is a HP center section on the passenger side (see Homer) and a doubler with a 205 as the main

Just saying

@GWeakland620 runs a Ford axle with leaf springs on his GMT400 rig. He should have useful input for someone contemplating such a swap into a square. @78K30 has been talking about that, but I don't think it has happened yet. I'd probably take that route if I were looking for a D60 conversion.

I’ve got two of the 05+ axles right now and they bring the beef! I haven’t paid over $400 for any of the ones I’ve had. I need to stuff one under something someday, I just got mine cheap and ended up not getting around to using them

Someone out there is making a jig/template that bolts straight to the ford 60 hub for you to drill it out to a 8 on 6.5 lug pattern so you can run a 14 bolt and keep the same lug pattern without some kind on wonky wheel spacer adapters.

I love this idea. I'd love to do the same with links on my Crewcab.

Hit up my buddy Chad at Hired Gun Offroad. He’s got the template.

I have one, but I'm in GA. Shipping would probably kill it.

And i agree with Kay. There are plenty, unless you need one. Lol
