i have come to the 'set up the shifters' phase and wanted to know who may have done this already. i am using the twin stick shifters for the 205 and will make a shifter for the 203, which is why i am posting. my thought so far is to bolt/weld on a straight stick to the 203 shift pin and locate a new hole in the floorboard just behind the twin sticks.

so, if you have done this already...maybe you have some pics?

I have done this. I used the ORD shifter for the 205 and for the 203 I fliped the shifter braket up beat it flat and bent it in a little then I welded a 205 shifter to it after I cut off the end. It works good and looks nice the only problem is you will need to make a gate or a latch or something for the 203 because the rod is a little to heavy. what I mean by this is that it will pop out of gear sometimes if a load is not on the t-case right now I am useing a bungy cord to hold it in place it work good but looks like crap. If you could use some kind of shifter with a linkage and shifter bushing kind of like the ORD shifter then all should be ok and you won't have all that weight on the shifter itself. /forums/images/icons/grin.gif

The bungee cord will cause the shift forks to wear out prematurely. /forums/images/icons/frown.gif
