anyone try this item from lmc?

I havent bought one, but i was going to once i get to that point in my progect. so i would also like to hear some feedback on this.

and if you get one post up some pics/info :D
 
I bought one and it's now sitting in a pile in the backyard.

It says it's molded, but mine wasn't molded much at all. The bed portion fit pretty well since it's flat but the wheel well covers were a joke. I was able to get the front seat area to work ok for a while, but since it doesn't lay totally flat, water and leaves would get under it and just sit there and stay moist. If you don't have a removable top, it may be a better option.
 
I purchased the rear half 4 years ago. I sold the rig before I was able to install it. I wish someone would buy the sucka!:wink1:
 
Yep, put one in my CUCV, pretty good replacement for the original.

As said, fitment is mostly up to you -- they cut 'em oversize and you trim to size. After you leave it out to cook, and your fingers get all toasty trying to fold this hot frickin' black piece of rubber around :haha:

I only did the front section, as the rear of my CUCV was plywood, so I can't speak to the rear.

I would say that if you get crap UNDERNEATH it you're in deep doo-doo ... but it certainly kept crap on top from going anywhere. I had spilled soda, mud, random crap ... park it on an incline, open the doors, hose it out.

It is made by ACC just like their carpets, I found it at another site for half what LMC wanted for it. Came in the ACC Box and all. That being said The fitment blows. I laid it out for a couple of days as required and needless to say there is absolutely no molding at all to it. I would have done better getting a roll of vinyl wide enough for the truck and installing myself. I have attempted to heat gun it to "Form it better" without much luck. I suspect since they usually make them to order that your mileage may very as far as quality. The new guy might have been working the machine the day I Ordered mine. Im still looking for other options but havent found any. ACC Seems to make all the aftermarket flooring.
 
Same here. I got the ACC one for the cheaper price and it still was not cheap enough for how it fits. This thing fits like wretched crap!! Now, living on the surface of the sun, one would think it would lay out easy and additional heat would not be necessary--wrong!! I heated it, stretched it, glued it and after all that, it remembered exactly what it was shaped like before I started and shrunk right-the-hell back into the terrible fitting POS that I started with. I had an interior guy look at it and he had nothing good to say about it other than it is really thick.
Save your money and buy a hooker instead. At least when it sucks, you won't be disappointed.
 
I have a feeling the earlier trucks have more problems with figment since they are maybe a more complicated shape? Mine was just all flat material except for a couple spots near the front seat where it looks like they tried to mold it. A diy spray on bedliner was about the same price.
 
i finally installed mine a month ago,so cold couldn,t install it before. not very happy with the way it came out,rear fits nice the front peace is so so! going too live with it
 
Glad to see this thread...I was considering putting one in mine when I pull the carpet. I think a trip to the spray on liner shop may be in order.....
 
I bought the front portion and agree that the fit is not perfect. For the back half, I bought a truck bed mat and cut it to fit using the old carpet as a template. It is super thick and pretty easy to cut with a shap knife. The rear half I am happy with. The front half is so so. Better than the stinky carpet I had. The nice thing about the rubber mat front portion is you can insulate underneath it with garage door insulation since it doesn't hold water like the jute mat insulation.
