anyone use a SYE from the drive shaft super store?

nah i havent heard of anyone. what are you looking to get, granted a driveshaft, but anything special?

working on a clocked up 208 on m1008. 64" rear springs. i will need a rear drive shaft anyway.

I did a SYE on the 208 in the Willy's I am building for my dad, needed all the d-shaft length I could get. I did the Dodge/ chevy hybrid set up and it wasn't hard to do at all. There is a thread by "twoslow4five0" that has some of my pics in it, as well as his hybrid build. I ended up getting a Dodge 208 for $65 at a pick and pull and spent another $35 with a local welder to have some aluminum bungs built up inside the GM case to match the Dodge tail housing bolts. So for less then $100 I gained approx 7" of d-shaft length and a fixed yoke on a 208.

I have one for my 241. The kit they use is from JB Conversions. The driveshaft that I ordered with the kit had been working fine.

The Dodge/Chevy 208 hybrid is not the same thing as the DSS SYE kit. If theirs is the kit I'm thinking of, it keeps the 208 T-case at full length and just bolts a flange to the output shaft. The traditional SYE will give you about 6" more driveshaft.

yea that way i trying to find out about the kit. the 208 i have has 22k on it. doesn't need anything. its pick up so i figured it didnt matter since i have the room

So that's prices starting at 500ish PLUS a 400 dollar core?!!

or 500ish total and 400 refunded later?

looks interesting, but what$$

It's actually about $750. But that includes a 1350 CV Shaft. I finished installing it this weekend. You pay $1150 then ship back your Transfer case shaft and output housing and get the $400 core back.
