Anyone use a Turbo 700 transmission?

A buddy of mine has a turbo
700 with the transfer case he's giving me for a steal. Anyone run this tranny and have any feedback on it? Will I need to regear my stock 10 bolt axles?

I am running a built one in my k5 and like it . Make sure that you have the tv cable and brackets so it will work right.

It's not a "turbo 700", it's a 700R-4...and about half a million K5's ran them with every gear ratio you could imagine.

700r4 is what i have in my truck, maybe its not a "turbo 700" but that's what he said, maybe its a TH700. Not sure exactly. He said it came out of a big bronco

Yes that's what he said. Our transmissions can be used in them as well. Won't help the rest of the Ford factor though

Well technically anything is possible. I've seen a Chevy 350 bolted to a John Deere transmission and there are all kinds of aftermarket bell housings and adapters.

A turbo 700 on the other hand, I think we need pics.

That's what I was going to say. A 700R4 is still a T.H. transmission. Even if we often fail to write the TH part.

Yeah but we are not talking about a TH700R4, we're talking about the Ford TH700 that came in Blazers, that might even be turbo'd, and that uses Jungle Juice instead of ATF.


Now I want one.
