just got email. Move fuel gauge to smaller hole, where clock goes i presume and OEM style tach in tach hole. Kit kinda expensive $300.

I just did it a few weeks ago. Caught it at 279.00.
SO Happy I did it. Only thing is the instructions aren’t the best. Leave the nuts on the tach the way they are. Put the plastic piece on, then use additional tin nuts off your old gauges to hold on the plastic. If you remove the nuts and use those to hold on the plastic piece, the tach won’t work.

Glad someone ordered one, its next on my list. Excited to see what you think about its function.
So far it works perfectly.

5k max, that would work for a diesel.

Where is it pulling the signal from?

It says to plug it in to the tach cavity on hei dist.
I plugged it right into the tach cavity on my msd 6al
and it’s good to go. I assume it’s just a 12v square wave pulse.

Ironically, stacey david of gearz jus featured this product today, lol
That’s funny. I think it’s a pretty good deal, besides the tach, harness and fuel gauge, you get a new cluster thing and cover and lens and hardware. And printed circuit. Hell, the things almost brand new by the time your done.

$300 is that much more than a lot of aftermarket tachs depending on what you're looking for.

I definitely want one of these, they don't make it for the 1975 though, I think the plastic backing plate is different. Another piece brakes off of mine every time I touch it. Every 350 can rev to 5000, why wouldn't GM make a 6000 rpm tach for the small block? I also think it's a good price for all the parts you get.

I like the fact that there is no problem as to where it should be mounted. No concern about it blocking other gauges, indicators or controls.
So while the price may seem a little steep at first, I do think that the price is acceptable when considering all of the parts and that it goes into the factory location.

I put a reproduction tach in my '72, and I believe that I got it from LMC, not positive. Anyway, that kit was good and it it still working fine several years after I installed it.
