anyone use these?

Those look sketchy as hell. I'd save a few more dollars and go with a quality set from ORD or DIY4X.

Figured for $80 it was to good to be true

Yep. Total home brew setup, someone is trying to sell.

With the right reinforcement, they could work, but I woudlnt' run them as is.

And by the time you "fix" a cheap set, you could build your own, or buy a quality set.

Skip them.

And post this thread to the comments on his listing

yeah I would build a set of my own out of factory pieces before I would spend $80 on those.

If I was gonna spend money and buy a set it would be from one of the two vendors mentioned above.

So do the 6" shackles that both those companies make provide any lift?

Not in stock configuration. If you go 6" shackle, and a flip, yes.

The stock shackle is inverted, so unless you flip it, longer shackles will lower the truck.

So how much extra lift over the 4" flip? Trying to get rid of the 5.5" blocks in the k5 I got and trying to stay away from expensive rear springs

Yeah, you don't lift it with shackles. Instead do the 4" flip and a zero rate for the rear. That will net you 5". From there, to level it, you can add longer shackles, but only what you need as longer isn't always better

Yep, 4" flip and Zero Rate add a leaf.

The Zero Rate is basically a 1" block, but 10x safer, as it bolts into the spring pack like another thick spring leaf. And, because its only 1" tall, doesn't really have the same axle wrap issues that larger blocks do.

Yes, if you have the shackle flip in place. Stock shackle length is 4" so a 6" shackle should provide about 1" of lift. This is because the longer shackle only lowers one side of the spring down 2" and the other side stays in the same location, and since the axle is in the middle between these two points is sees about half of the increased shackle length or 1".

I have a set from gatsby truck that worked reL well for me . They are for sale for 50 plus shipping

i have them and they are ok you still use the factory brace on the inside of the stock hanger and i also welded a plate to the top
it would have been better to go with a ORD set and i may do the change again but just hate taking out the gas tank
