Anyone used this? Fire extenguisher alternative

Looks like the Fire Block product is simply a flame retardant - that is, if you treated your seats with it, they would not burn as readily later if a fire started. I doubt the treatment would be any good at all for an underhood fire (there aren't many Class A flammables under the hood, and nothing absorptive to soak in the treatment).

What's wrong with a regular ABC extinguisher?
 
i'm with him. it's a retardant. you would want the suppression system i do believe. unless you just plan on gettin the surface hot and not on fire.

Nothing at all. Just exploring my options ;). Also the guy who mentioned it in the old post on pirate thought pretty highly of it, he didnt make it sound like a retardent either. Hmm what do I know :rolleyes:
 
There's no substitute for an extinguisher. If not just for your ride but to help someone else out.
