Anyone used this Np241 clocking ring?

Well I have a 4L80E which is a fairly long tranny so I'm hoing that will compensate for the angle. Y'all think a 241 clocked all the way up with a 4L80E and D60 in stock location with 6" lift will give me a bad angle problem? Should I leave the 1" flange spacer in when I get the shaft lengthened or take it out for the lengthening? I'm deffinately going to be building a new crossmember anyway so I'm assuming it'd be better to take it out. Thx

I would take out that spacer because that will make the driveshaft longer which will help with the angles some /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

what size shim do you have?

I'm not Positive but I think it's a 6* Shim.

Estaban, so your using your stock front drive shaft just extended a couple of inches?

[/ QUOTE ] Yes I am useing my stock front driveshaft which I extended myself by simple cutting it and sleeving it with a longer tube and then welding it to the yokes at the end.

Afroman-- I would suggest getting rid of the spacer that you have. 2 reasons. First it lengthens the mounting surface further forward which puts a greater angle on your front driveshafts(it's only an inch I know but any little bit helps) and the second reason is because if your getting your driveshaft lenghtened then you don't need it.

Esteban how is your exhaust routed now. I want to run the belly pan (I have already clocked my tcase with the ring off of ebay)but I think that my t case will get to hot by running the exhaust imbetween it and the frame rail on the passenger side?

That is exactly where I ran mine. Between the framerails and the t-case. I plan on cutting up my floor boards soon so I will probably see about moveing it away from the t-case a bit more but as for now there is no problem. The drivers side runs straight back and then the passenger side go under the tailhouseing of the t-case and join into the drivers side right behind the skid plate.

Cool, I like your skidplate. I think I'll do something similar, just not quite as large /forums/images/graemlins/whistling.gif. Also, I think I'll add some kind of hole to aid in fluid drain, it seems like it would be a PITA to have to drop that whole plate just to change the fluid. Anyway, spiffy design.
