Anyone using a NP241 t-case??

The nv4500 has a 6.34 or 5.61 first gear if memory serves. The lower is only in a few years then they went to the higher of the two.

DUH /forums/images/graemlins/doah.gif..You're right..5.61. I had my head somewhere else. I was thinking about the 700r 1st gear

While we're talking 241's, are there both right and left drop GM versions and what years/models would have the right drop version?

All the solid front axle models (that came with a 241) have the Pass side drop, all IFS years (88-up trucks) & (92-up) Blazer/Jimmy & subs etc) have the drivers side drop.

I have 3 vehicles w/ 241's, the K5, the 97 truck, and my wifes 01 Tahoe. I noticed the difference in the low range the first time I used one, as compared to my previous 203, and my 208. I rike it a rot! /forums/images/graemlins/peace.gif

Do you currently run a 10 spline 205?

If so, welcome to my world. I want to try to figure out a way to get a lower crawl ratio, and it pretty much is going to require removal of the 10 spline stuff, which in and of itself it isn't bad, but it removes any of the easy possibilities.
