Anyone with access to carfax?

I am thinking of buying a car for cheap but I think it is salvaged but the dude told be because it was stolen and stripped on the inside. The inside looks pretty clean it's a 94 and is as cleans as my wifes 2001 any help would be appreciated.........

i wouldnt put to much faith in Carfax.

i had a 95 nissan pickup that i was in 6 accidents with, 2 of them major with over 8k in damages (i dont know why they didnt total it).
i traded it for my Ram in 99.
i was curious about it so i had someone run the vin thru Carfax.

it came up 1 owner with 0 accidents.
i have seen the truck driving around Chi-town.

a dude on another board ran the vin on his F150 he totaled.
it came back clean also.

You didn't say what kind of car it was, but in general I would advise you to stay away from salvage titled vehicles unless you plan on driving them until they don't run and never plan on trying to get any money back out of it later on. Dealers don't want them and usually won't give you any more than half of trade in value for them. Banks won't finance them, and there could be other safety issues involved. Then again if its cheap enough and it really was only stolen/recovered it could be ok. If you email the vin to me I'll try to run a carfax for you at work tomorrow. Use your better judgement though carfax misses alot of things.

Thanks Triaged for hooking me up and thanks to the others that volunteered. it does have a salvaged title and rebuilt title out of NY and the plates are from MA. I am gonna buy it anyway it's real clean and real cheap enough that I can drive it till the wheels fall off. It's only got around 65k miles and it's better than driving the Jimmy and the 454 with gas here around 2.50 for the cheap kind........
