Anyone elses k-5 look like its riding kinda sideways when its going straight and any ideas on how to fix this. -Thanks Joe
 
were is that located i know nothing about suspensions ps i know were the leafsprings are:grin:

in the middle of rear leaf springs is a bolt. sometimes that will break causing rearend to move forward on one side. this will make truck "dogtrack" that's what you describe! you may have to loosen ubolts on rear axle and check spring pins to see if that's the case:D
 
the rear axle is narrower than the front axle. this is the main reason people think its running a little sideways or "dog legged".
 
Something could have happened to the springs. Also, because of the narrower rear track the do appear to "crab" anyway. Every chevy I see looks kinda like that. Wouldn't hurt to check and see if anything is broken though. Don't know how severe yours looks though...
 
Yep. I know people that have had these trucks for 10+ years and never knew that the rear axle was narrower than the front. All of a sudden someone says "your truck drives crooked" and its an immediate "problem". :)
 
Measure the wheelbase on both sides of the truck. If both sides aren't the same within 1/4" then you have a problem.
