they did an install in a 14ff in 4wp offroad adventures mag, i got it saturday. i cant believe no one has posted about it. didnt tell the price though, but it looks easy to install. the said it matches the indestructability of the 14ff axle. only time will tell. oohhh... spelling that big word made me dizzy again. :p: :haha:

its about dang time...ok who has a price for this baby?

old news, seen it on pirate a while ago. I think there was a link in here too. I heard they were about $850. I'm sure they will be in high demand for a while, so I dought the price will be much lower than that.

steve, its been talked about when it might come out but there was never a set date or even an article on it yet. so this is not old news, this is the first tech article or install that i have seen and i have subscriptions to every 4by magizine out just about.

Im not... if I have $850 to spend, I'd rather spend $350 of it on a detroit and save $500 for something else than buy the $uper $pendy ARB. Its selectable.. ok cool, but being selectable isn't really that big of a deal in the rear end, at least to me it isn't.

jek, i cant disagree with that at all, im just leting it be known its out.

Im sorry, what a waste of money.

I think for people who drive on snow/ice this would be the setup for them. Still, for less than half the price, the Detroit is tempting in the same conditions.

Not to mention the way people treat FF 14 bolts, I wouldn't be surprised if people started breaking ARB's with some sort of regularity (the spider gears anyway). I've got a detroit in mine and wouldn't trade it for the world, let alone $500 more for a locker that has failure prone air lines and is weaker.

But for that much more you can say you have air lockers!

good point on the snow/ice drivers... IMO that'd be the best reason to go ARB. I live in a really mild climate... some winters it doesn't snow at all. Getting more than a couple of inches is relatively rare... so the Detroit is stayin' in my ff14b.
