I can not get my arb carrier out of my 1977 chevy dana 44, anyone have any suggestions, I have the caps pulled and it wont budge. I thought that maybe, it was because i had jack stands on the outer portions of the axle tube and it was binding, but I have since moved them to the frame and it still won't budge. HELP PLEASE I have a bad seal that why it needs to come out.

Thanks in Advance Michael

Subscribed, because I too need to pull apart my ARB equipped front axle soon since my inner axle seals went bad! ;)

The dana axles have carriers that have built-in preload. I've had good success with putting a wrench on one of the ring gear bolts and then using a wrench to rotate the pinion and it'll push the carrier out.

Carrier spreader works per instructions. Else a ratchet strap around the carrier works as well.
