I flipped the easy button on the dash today and, what, no worky?

The compressor never shut off and half of the 90w went on the inside of my hood out of my breather hose. fook

Get home and pull the cover off (D44f) and one of the pins holding the spiders is resting against the ring gear, all chewed to fook on the end.

Must come out. With the line running thru the cap is there some special method of removal to keep from fooking anything else up, or just grip it and rip it?

Fook, the pin chewed the back side off of the brass line too. Out it comes!

That sux. I bent my 14BFF air collar all to hell when I was routing it through the case. I ordered a replacement from ARB out of Washington state, and it came just a few days later. Their customer support was pretty good. Good luck on the replacement.

Ha, the culprit. Got parts on the way, about $100 in damage so far, wait and see what else when I put air to it again...

You're really lucky it didn't take everything else with it :doah:

Make sure none of the ring and pinion teeth were damaged.

Looks okay, surprisingly. The ring gear was actually all that held it together as the pin backed out. there are a few marks on the pinion, but doesn't have any burrs.

I will definately be taking a closer look, thank you.

Not yet, I did order all of the parts I think I need, and a few seals besides. Should get parts by the end of the week.

Thanks Toby!

Suprised it lasted this long, you should have seen have I've beat this thing!

Still paranoid. I break 3-4 hub locks a year. Doesn't matter what brand or quality.

Pulled one dead (no motor, no steering) CJ-7 up BV-carnage, one 1ton dodge (dead) van up mill creek (empire) loop, had it at wot doing both.....saw sparks off the driveline and rims in the dark. Pretty cool!

Still figure that I'm on borrowed time.....
