Are 14 bolt carriers interchangeable?

I know this is a noob question...

I got a 1998 14bff, I am wondering if the the earlier 14bff carriers will fit without any bearing modification.

Anyone know?

Anyone got some 4.56s they want to get rid of?

The only difference was a pinion bearing was larger starting in 1988, the carriers are all the same with the exception of which ratio you need it to fit 4.10-down or 4.56-up.
