My friend asked me to find him a 73-75 K-5 Blazer

Took 2 days 100 miles away

Drove it home $1600.00

Runs perfect

Are They normally harder to find ?

1973 Blazer

For Sale: 1973 Chevy Blazer K-5 Cheyenne Edition. Same model that Sheriff Brody drove in Jaws!

All original drivetrain including 4-bolt 350 (edelbrock carb and intake), 350 turbo transmission, 203 transfer case, 12 bolt rear, Dana 44 front. Truck drove very well but was parked outdoors several years ago. Needs new steering box. Body has rusting in all the typical spots and needs work. All panels are available through aftermarket. Interior is in pretty good shape. Top of truck comes completely off from windshield back. Original Fiberglass top included and in good shape.

There are still TONS of aftermarket parts available for these trucks. I had some big ideas about doing a frame-off resto , but never got around to it. . .

Considering you are looking at a model that was only made for 3 years and is 40 years old, I would say it would take a little work to find a good one. They may be highly sought over and desirable now but for a long time they were just another common truck and lot were worn out or rusted out and have gone through the crusher.

They are hard to find with bodies in good condition. And it depends on what part of the country you ask.
If you believe the numbers, some charts show that there were only 35,000 made in 1973 and 1974....so 70,000 those two years...after 38 years, rust, wrecks, cash for clunkers....there can't be that many left...probably a few thousand at the most???

Why don't you post some pics of it?

Oh...it was Chief Brody...chief of Police....although they referred to him as "Sheriff" once in JAWS2...and he drove a 1974 Blazer and in JAWS2 it was Jimmy

Never saw one with a roof rack....can't see all the way around or inside, but if it isn't completely rusted out it would be worth the $2000 you are asking for...more if the rust isn't that bad...and the interior is still there...and you said it runs good.
Need photos all the way around up and underneath.

I "think" what he's saying is he just bought it (or his pal did) and he posted up the original ad for it.
On any given week out here there is at least ten '73-'73 for sale. And most are various stages of beat up.

You've posted these same posts at least three times now. Are you trying to sell the one you bought, or just posting the ad from when you bought it???
