Are 2023 BaT prices real?

I have called Hagerty two times asking about insuring my truck. I give them the year, make, and model, and they say they do know what kind of vehicle it is. I give them my VIN number, and they still say that VIN does not come up to anything they can find (the 1991 Chevy V3500 is a real odd ball truck). Then I give them a description of what the truck is (1-ton 4X4 crew cab truck). Then they say "this is a 4-wheel drive truck. We do not insure 4-wheel drive trucks." even though I cover all the requirements with my truck...it is driven less than 5000 miles a year, it is kept in doors in a commercial building, and I have a residential address, but they still turn me down both times.
I think you were talking to the wrong people then. Their website has multiple pics of 4x4 trucks that they insure. Where they may get you is on the lift and tire size if they consider it extreme.

Classic car insurance companies will not insure my truck because it is a 4-wheel drive. I have had every classic car insurance company turn me down as soon as they figure out it is a 4-wheel drive truck.
Try Grundy. It’s what I have on my K5. Was all done online and email. They had a policy emailed to me the next day.

They told me that if the vehicle is ever used off-road they won't insure it. I don't know what happens when you do occasionally wheel it, then have an accident on-road.

Hagerty isn't the same company since it went public. I know tons of people that were let go right before and right after they went public from VPs on down. State Farm bought a controlling interest of Hagerty, and we all know State Farm hates to pay out.

State farm has never been anything but awesome with me. Pay like and when they should have.

Ive got my k5 insured with hagerty, named my insurance amount as well (premium reflective of course, but very reasonable).

I would call again and if there is push back say that you have multiple friends that have antique trucks insured and its even listed on their website, whats different about your truck

Given some of the prices other have sold for, i thought this hanmered for a ‘reasonable’ price given how clean and nice it is.

These high price sales also help support the high dollar insurance values. So make sure your insured values are up. If something was to happen, would likely be hard to replace it without shelling out big bucks.

Regardless, they will continue to rise. The truck market is hot.
