Posted in the Garage about buying a 1/2 ton 2WD burb with a 305 and it seems like not many people have heard of the 305 being in a burb due to the weight. Hoping this might get some other opinions. Who has driven a burb with a 305 and how did it handle daily driving, light towing (up to 5K 2-3 times a year), and how was the mileage. Remember this is a 2WD so there wont be any big tires or any off roading.

the burb i got the axles for the willys out of was a 1977 3/4 ton 4x4 with a 4 speed and had a stock 305 with a 2 barrel. it moved quite well even for having 3.73's and 32's but it was becuase of the tranny if you have a th350 it will be more of a dog with the wrong gears.

there not rate, the 305 was droped in the eraly 80's 82 me's thinks.

i had a 305 in my 85 3/4ton2wd pick up, hauled ass for a high miler, with low compresion, ran 94 preemium in her got better milage and ran likea top till that pole jusped out in front of me.

This one is all stock one owner. The brochures page shows the 305 as an option in 86 just seems like not many people have them.
