Are 6 inch springs much stiffer than 4 inch?

Just curious about your experiences. I want a good ride that I can enjoy driving around with, but don't know if I should combine a body lift with a 4 incher or just go 6 inch. Fender trimming doesn't bother me at all. Eventually want to run 38 inch tires.

Its entirely possible to run a 4" lift with 39.5s and no body lift at all...if you do serious fender trimming, there was a guy in a recent 4-wheelin mag that had just that setup.

Personally, I like the idea of using a standard 4" suspension lift...combined with ORD 1" add a leafs and shackle flip (ORD or home-brew, up 2 u)....and then just trimming the body back as-needed to run whatever tires ya want. A set of ORD HD shackles for the front will give ya another 0.25-0.5" as well. =p

I would go 4 in suspension,3 in. body lift. With the 4in. you wont have to modify as much than with the 6 in.

I have a 6" BDS lift and it rides AWSOME!!! But they are right in saying you will needs some mods... pitman arm, longer brake lines are a must, drivetrain angles get a lot harder, etc.
