Are aftermarket rear quarter panels any good?

I've had good luck with LMC. Only times I've seen really bad panels are when people buy the real cheap ones from like way in the back of the JC Whitney cataloge. But I've seen good stuff from them too..its just not usually the cheapest stuff... if that helps

If I were buying them for a first gen I would be avoiding LMC just from what I've gleaned from others on this site. I would probably go with GMC Pauls or Wes at Classic Heartbeat. I know members here have found their sheet metal to be as good as it comes from first hand experience. The specific lmc panel a member had issues with, that I remember was the doors. Not sure about your specific panel, but to me it wouldn't be worth the risk.

This thread is great and he has pretty much worked on every panel. You can see his experience with LMC panels/parts and what he ultimately went with:

Hope that helps.
