Picking up a Primo dually bed, and was wondering if there is any difference in the 8 bolt mounting points on the frames?
My existing is a 76 and the newer one I suspect in the 80's

I had swapped a few beds on my trucks in the past--if I remember right, some beds had 6 bolts and some had 8,but the beds bolted on OK--if you didn't have 8 bolts, just use the 6 bolts...
All the beds I swapped were 8 foot fleetsides--short beds and stepsides might be different ?..
..I put an 8 foot '79 bed on a '71 K1500 and despite the body style being "wrong"for the year of the cab,,it did bolt up with 6 out of 8 bolts and the factory wiring also plugged right in..

Thanks guys....good to know, I'm building a "rack" on top of my 6x10 utility trailer to mount the dually box to....I'm using my 76 box as a bolt pattern and was hoping the newer box would be the same.

I almost asked this exact same question about short beds yesterday :haha:..

Small world. I ended up not asking because I was just going to mod it to fit one way or the other lol

Even my 79 shortbed has 8 bolts, not the same pattern ans a long bed though, obviously...
