I know the '76 would fall in the 1st design drivetrain but would the '77 be the same or the 2nd design?

Talking about the trucks or the chalet itself?
I think it was only one design.
They had 3 levels, but one design.
And the trucks were also same 76 and 77.:waytogo:

Completely the same 'design' from one year to the next, only model year changes to the truck & camper - s.s. trim on the trucks, stripe colors on the camper, 'straighter grain' fake wood cabinet doors & cone shaped lightshades for the interior on '76s, a burled walnut grain & straight tube lampshade interior lights for '77s. I do know now of two '77 Blazers with '76 model year camper units.

The trucks.

I know the '76 would be the 1st and have 2.75" diameter tubes on the D44 but will the '77 have the same or be the 3" tubes hence the 2nd Design change.

77 was a transistion year, some got the older some got the newer axles.
Some got flat tops and some got the newer knuckles.

Yeah, I was aware of that but I've never heard of anyone calling them a '77 and a '77.5 like they do with the Ford F250's.

So the '77 Chalets can have both Design axles under them? Its just a matter of crawling under the rig to check and see which you have, correct?

I guess.
I never looked at my 77 chalet, now you got me curious.
I hope I got the later model for the bigger bearing and thicker shafts, but I also would like to have the flat top knuckle. :dunno:
