Are dually frames the same as single wheel?

Basically, yes they're the same.

Due to options, an srw might not have the overload spring "bump" brackets.

Edit: you are talking 1 ton vs 1 ton, right?

What's a good price to sell a frame? Found someone local looking for a dually frame. Mine has beed welded around the steering box

Frames are same. Overloads were optional.

are C&C;s any different? Dont' think so, but just curious.

1ton the same other than lengths . std cab lb = 131.5 wb / c&c few diffrent lengths starting at 135 wb and crew cab lb 165 wb.

so make sure you know what one you want.

I would say $300-400 depending what you leave on it. steering, all lines, all crossmembers.
I would think $300 would be a fair price without springs.

If its an excellent condition frame with no cracks, welds, bends, etc. on it then I'd pay that much for it but not a dime more. I always prefer a good virgin frame to start with on any project.

Yeah but us car guys are picky and want the best deal all the time. I would agree with you.
Personally, if I was in the dually frame market I would buy a whole truck and part out as needed.

front half diffrent holes on all the suspension and front hangers on rear springs 3" shorter than 4wd hangers.

What is the advantage to having a one ton dually compared to a one ton single rear wheel?

Better distribution of the weight you are hauling over 4 tires instead of 2, also better trailer sway control.

If your hauling heavy loads constantly or are going on long trips, a dually is the way to go.

fixed the length :thumb:

std cab long bed 131.5 wheel base
std cab c&c is 135 wheel base.
Nope! Not quite!

I had an '88 V30 C&C once and the RPO sticker said 135.5", not 135. Thats why I said 4" longer than a standard LWB. :waytogo:

There are two different dually trucks, cab and chassis and dually with a bed. DRW cab and chassis frames are straight behind the cab.

One other thing about the C&C frames: they don't have holes on the tops of the rails where a bed is fastened to. Just smooth top rails.
