I have acess to a wrecked 05 silverado, and would love to have a newer brake booster and master cylinder. I know it's wishfull thinking but is there any way it could work in my 84 K5? The 05 6.0L that I transplanted in the K5 has a vacum line off the intake that plugs right into the K5's booster. But again, maybe it's just wishful thinking.

You could change to a later 1980's booster if you wanted a newer one . I know the ports are backwards on the newer stuff though , the fittings on the hardlines , and the resevoirs are reversed form the 70's .

Found that out putting my 77 tub on a 83 frame .

I would assume there would be even more different on the 2005 since its going to have different volume , valving , and mounting pattern .
